Goodness me look at the dust in here, haven't had use of a scanner or camera for quite a while, at least a year by the looks of it lol

Scanner finally working so here is my first really proud offering, I've used a brayer for the background and Sheena Douglas daisy stamp and paint techniques for the flowers.

The theme for this months swap for Crafting Corner was to decorate 2 pencils, the far right pencil how they both started out. I did struggle with this one to start with but once I got going I don't have a single undecorated pencil anywhere lol
Both pencil's were rubbed down with an emery board, the green one was then sprayed with cosmic shimmer peacock green, and left to dry, I then used green glitter glue to draw stems and leaves, added some small paper flowers and random glitter glue and liquid pearl dots, a coat of watered PVA glue was the final coat.
The far left pencil was painted with a gold acrylic paint, then I used black stayzon to stamp the swirls and a small flower, again I used glitter glue and liquid pearls for highlights with a final coat of glue and finished with knotted black ribbon.

The theme for this month was to make 3 toppers

The cupcake is from Cricut Home Decore, using scraps of card, red brick and walnut stain distress inks, and some glitter glue.

The vase is from a Magenta stamp set, using water colour crayons, walnut stain distress ink, cosmic shimmer gold, black embossing pen, triple embossing and over stamping on the vase.

The landscape was made using brayering, sunset big & juicy, arirondaks mushroom, lettuce and aqua, Lavina tree and bulrush stamps, and the quote was from a creative expressions stamp.

The theme for this Crafter's Corner swap was 'colouring in' ...well black, grey and white are colours aren't they!

The theme for this was 'Bee's' and I really like how this turned out, as I tend to do collagey things I thought this was 'clean' I may make another similar and turn it into a card.

Rubby Wedding Card

I did this for a friend and again it is a first for me, a word book, the idea being that it can be made into a scrapbook of the event. I belong to a local craft club so was able to have the word Ruby cut out on a circut machine. Again I stuck to basic colours to keep it uniform. I used my cuttlebug to cut out the circles, I then watermark stamped a flower onto that, I hand cut the scallpoped edges to each letter, added hearts to the hole punches and some flowers and gems. I did the verse's for the inside on word, but forgot to scan lol.

Bling Miniscrapbook

My first attempt at a minicsrapbook, fairly pleased with it although it did end up a little subdued, I stuck to monochrome as I thought it would be easier so black and white card and silver mirri, some of it is drawn as I don't seem to have any fashion stamps (shock) and a couple of peel-offs, I used a small butterfly and a boarder flower stamp with black stayzon, glitter glue and silver glitter pen to colour in and some lovely silver paper that looks like fabric, white organza ribbon and of course some adhesive gems.

I don't often do ATC's so this made a nice change, they are for a forum swap, the topic is 'France' so I thought I'd base each ATC on the colours of the French flag

All the girl images are craftyindividuals stamps, and a set of travel acrylic stamps, kept them all fairly basic, using distress ink pads and some mica powders.

Pens & pencils out again for this one, I hope you can read 'november' made out of fireworks, the background was done using a free stamp, bronze metalic ink and highligted useing a sukura white embossing pen.

This was great fun to do, I masked & stencil brushed the 'foggy' background, drew my scary ghost, he is glittered as well but you can't see that, then used orange & black card to create the embelishments

This months Craft Stamper Magazine features a wedding project using stamped backgrounds that are then run through a cuttlebug with an embosing folder, which I thought was really pretty, this is my version of the project using what I had, I think I would be happier with it if I had cut down the main image to a square and done it as a landscape card, what do you think?

April Calender Challenge

Easter is back where it should be in April 2009, and I decided to do an Easter bonnet theme, this one is a bit more 'me'

The background is a lace vellum, but it doesn't show up very well here, the flowers down the side are the new Laura Ashley collage stamps, I used chalks to colour the main image, and peel-offs for the Easter eggs, oh and a bit of fluff for her collar.

I was thinking Mother's day, and after craft shopping what's closest to a girl's heart?

I have used two ready-made embelisments for this one and one handmade, the background is a dreamweaver blossom stencil, I then masked the 'shop front' and used distress ink to make the spotlight effect. A bit of a different project for me, but I enjoyed it.

My first 'handbag' card, the free template is from Debbi Moore's site, I used a florish stamp, opaque black embossing powder, and added dots in black & pink gel pens, stuck a couple of brads on and voila a girly pink handbag.

February Calander page

February's calander page was a bit of a struggle, but then every craft project I started was a bit of a struggle, don't know why, just one of those months.
For this one I used two of my favourite heart stamps (can't remember the make, sorry) a dotty florish stamp from Stamp Addicts, I drew the primroses & snowdrops as I don't have any spring flower stamps. The background is done in shimmer chalks going from a pale yellow to pink, I used watercolour paints for the leaves, gold perfect pearls for the primroses and a lovely white pearl paint dauber from the Tim Holtz range (I used it as a paint) for the snowdrops.

No reflections or shadows in this one, just good 'ole romance, when men where men, which is probably why I've put her on top!!

I have used my 'latest' toy my lovely cuttlebug for this one, the script embossing folder across the top on a slant, a lovely vintage stamp from Blue Moon in archivel sepia, a 'free' foam stamp for the setiment, edged in Tim Holtz brick distress ink, I filled the hearts with a gold glitter pen and outlined them in red.

Forum Calander

We have been set a year long challenge, 12 members to each make an A5 'landscape' calander page for each month, at the end of the year we will all recieve back a unique calander made from each members art work.

As you can see I've still got a thing about shadows and reflections. I have used Tanda fairy and bullrush stamps, a winter house stamp (can't remember the make) a blue blend pigment ink pad in 5 blues a brayer and sparkles although these don't show up.

Moonlight Shadow

As I haven't managed to post any new work since October I thought it was high time I updated my spot, I love playing with inks (& paints) and have recently developed a 'thing' about shadows and reflections.

This is a topper I made (October time ish) using the resist technique, very simple, torn paper for the 'hill's' and as a mask for the brayered sky, I used a twinkling H2o lid, clear ink & white embossing powder for the moon (I didn't want a solid circle), an Anna Griffin fir tree stamp, stamped right way up in Azure stayzon and in grey for the shadow.

For this challenge I wanted the feel of an 'old fashioned' book cover, I think I mainly did that. I wanted the book clasps to look like enamel, I used perfect pearls and dimond glaze, but it dosn't show very well.
